Exchange-Traded Funds, also called trackers, allow you to invest instantly and simultaneously in all the entities making up a given index. For example, an ETF on the CAC 40 will make it possible to invest in all CAC 40 companies. An ETF can be housed on the unit-linked supports of life insurance, a PER, but also on an account securities or on a PEA.

ETFs are investment funds issued by management companies. They are passively managed - their objective is only to follow the movements of a benchmark index without seeking to outperform the latter. ETFs are listed on the stock exchange, there are more than 750 on Euronext. Their recent growth is also linked to the low management fees they charge - 0.20 to 0.50% on average.
